Those are on gilt from time to time.
For the price, why wouldn't you get a more known brand?

Meso, thx for the input.  You're probably right.  I've seen Antonio Maurizi shoes on Gilt but never the boots.  Somehow, I'm just attracted to the shape of his brogue/wingtip boots (I typically only wear boots).  To get something more known and with decent quality though, I'm thinking I'd have to go to Alden or one of the British makes (C&J, Tricker's, etc.) which all are $500 or over for retail.  I have a pair of AE Dalton's which are somewhat similar to these boots.  I'm hoping my two next boots will be an Alden boot on the Modified last and something very different, the Wolverine 1000-Mile boot (or maybe the Addison).

It's a tough life...

With all the sales coming up I decided to pick up a pair of gucci side zips. These, to be specific. Do you guys think I could have done better? Should I be looking at something else?

those look like corrected grain, if they are you definitely could have done better for that price.  RM Williams at retail (chelsea, but no all that different) or others on sale to be specific.
