I would stay away from JV, B&N boots might be worth it depending on the price. IIRC at one point they were <$200.


On a different note, I've got a pair of black boots with some nice distressing, if I use Obenaufs LP on them will it darken and cover up the distressing?

JV mainline footwear is pretty decent, especially at half the retail price.

I had the boots from corner but returned. Material is good and good looking.

The platform is not for everyone.

ah right didnt see that it's got rubber platforms - not my thing :X

that's why I got C&J northcote instead. Yeah I like the raf shoe, very nice looking. But no platform please.

you should get it anyways, that platform couln't possibly be held on by more than just glue, or mabe some nails in the worse case, all you need to do is take a screwdriver and pry the platform a bit to get some part loose and then take a pair of pliers to grip that son of a bitch and rip it right off the damn boot.

but the boot doesn't look like it is goodyear welt, that is a minus, and the captoe seam is folded, not my preference. but still a decent boot if you can overlook the flaws.
