The streetwear shoes and boots thread...No sneakers please - Page 264

i guess this is the most-MC thread in swd.

I already have a burgundy brogue and AE black macneil longwings. looking for another pair to complete my mc collection. thinking of a tan or brown derby, or should i also get another black captoe for ultimate formal shoes for interview?

seldom wear suits only formal slacks + shirts.

A tan derby is a very versatile shoe. I couldn't live without black captoes, but then I wear a suit most days (and they don't really work with much else)... You can probably get away with black longwings for most job interviews - if you're going for an interview where you think you'll need them then get captoes, but for general wear I'd go the derbies. Something like Tricker's Bourton/Keswick is chunky enough for casual use but smart enough with slacks for most occasions.

Thanks for the reply MoK.

I think another tan brogue derby would be too casual and eye-catching for office wear to be honest. i guess i will get a tan PTB. something like this:

Love the profile of these. Anyone have thoughts on higher-end boots with leather or commando soles that have a similar look?

Do these have to go in the PS thread just cuz they're PS? The answer is no. Paul Smith S/S 2012. Can't wait to see them in person.

Alden maybe. They make some very nice plain toes. I have a pair in natural that's breaking in nicely.

Its not like my French made urban hiking boots but I must say I'm drawn to this boot. Its a classy dress boot for sure.

I love this one with the ripple sole. It puts the Clarks Desert boots to shame. Great find!
