Also, got to say for daily winter beaters, I'mn impressed by some of the earthkeepers. I'm looking for some on sale right now...

What size are you looking for? I've got a pair I'm looking to pass on for cheap.

I'm between three Rachel Comey boots right now, anyone have any experience with this, or any input?

I'm most interested in the Caper Desert Boot (Tobi has them in canvas, Gargyle in leather)

Or, the Spencer Back Padded boot:

I'm actually leaning towards the Caper Desert in Canvas, though I don't own any leather boots and am also interested in the Caper Desert in leather. I think the Spencer looks great but not sure it's for me.

What do you think?

Even I found this funny.

Also interested.

Not sure why people post pics without saying what it is, for the uniformed that are looking for new stuff...

Has anyone bought service boots directly from Dayton? I can't find them on their site.

You have to call them. They'll do a custom order for you but when I talked to them, they didn't have any leather soles. Only option was nitrile (I think), a vibram type sole.

Trying my hardest to stay under 200. Closest I found was the Iron Rangers but they don't have my size and it's over 200

Should have bought Red Wing Iron Rangers from endless before the 40% bing cashback expired (2 weeks ago, give or take). That would have been about $160, give or take, although you would have had to wait.

I liked my new boots enough to get them in Black AND Brown. Too early to wear them I admit. Still wearing all my colorful Pumas and high top sneakers I bought 6 months ago for the remainder of summer. I work in the fashion industry so shopping for Fall is NOT too early. It's already too late to shop the 80's revival trend now, even if prices are attractive. I am already looking forward to some colorful suede loafers for Spring 2011. http://www.esquire.com/blogs/mens-fa...-trends-062210

Don't expect too many guys to pay attention to fashion trends the same way as I do. I am not a typical dude who wears cargo shorts with flip flops.
