Do you pretty much only wear white shirts? - Page 3

I probably own 8 or 10 but I rarely wear a white shirt unless it is to a function which my brothers pretty much have made it tradition to wear a white shirt and tie.

I have 7 or 8 white shirts out of maybe 30 odd shirts in total. Why? Because no matter what ethe situation, white shirts are awesome.

I have 6 white shirt (4 H&K, 1 T&A, 1 H&H) out of about 60 business shirts.

The problem with white = you can not wear them 5 days like blue as it the dirt is visible after 5 hours !

A lot in the summer. Otherwise I wear black, grey, burgundy and olive. I have a navy shirt too and an off-white.

I'm basically trying to get shirts in the best shade and material of every colour eventually, but that's because I was always a black and white guy like anyone that voted yes.

Some work places only have white shirts worn, and if you, like Homer Simpson, wear pink, you might be considered insane.

I wear white shirts for about 50% of the time, not because I am conservative, but simply because I think a crisp white shirt looks great and suits my dark complexion.

White alone would be monotonous!
In regular rotation:
3 white shirts, one plain and two with different weaves
2 blue with white stripes, different thicknesses
3 blue, one poplin, one end-on-end, one bird's eye
1 plain cream
1 orangey-pink
3 pink striped (white with pink, pink with white, pink/white/blue)
1 pink/blue striped
1 white with faint purple chalk stripe
1 white with faint red pin stripe
1 lavender
1 warm yellow with white stripes
1 white with pale blue check
1 red/brown tattersall

...and a few more besides.

If you had posited the wear of white or pale blue shirts, I would have had to answer; yes, more than 80% of the time!

I like white, and like it with blazer / pocket sq.
Clean and simple.

I used to wear white shirts very, very rarely, but I've recently developed a new appreciation for white. A white shirt with an interesting and subtle texture takes dressing well to a different level. So I've taken it as a challenge to collect as many white shirts with different textures as possible. A nice, crisp, white broadcloth shirt occasionally makes a nice blank canvas, too.

Where do you buy your white shirts from?

I am thinking about going this way.

right now, I jsut keep a few for emergency occations, but I like them, I also like the fact that nobody else wears them anymore.

I used to wear white shirts exclusively when I wore coat and tie. However, that was decades ago, when it was a much more common practice. Now I rather seldom wear a white shirt. I haven't bought one in years.

I have about 25 white shirts. Half are MTM with different features (FC, BD, double button collar, cutaway collar, etc.). When in doubt I grab a white shirt jeans and a jacket year-round. That has been my MO since the late 90's. I used to wear mostly blue shirts. I am now incorporating more blue shirts into my wardrobe once again now that earthtones are becoming more popular for jackets and ties.

i Rather wear light blue, simply because they seem to stay less visibly dirty longer. I like white, i just save it for more formal occasions to keep it from getting dingy looking.
