Honestly the washes are great, but the fit leaves a bit to be desired. If you favor a larger fit through the thigh then it's for you. I also find the zip fly annoying. However, I was close to buying womens Levis Premium. I wear a 31 waist, so I don't know if that would work for you.
I wear a 29 usually, but I've never tried women's jeans. I saw a model that I really liked. Offender I think it was. There was an Ebay auction for them yesterday in a 28. It ended though. I just don't want to spend any money on jeans that don't have a good fit or quality.
I actually have a pair of women's straight-legged Levi's Premium. They are sort of falling apart. Needless to say, they are my traditional attire for my Oil Painting class. As opposed to other women's jeans, I personally would not recommend them, because they have a particularly feminine seat, with auto-wedgie mode activated no matter how low you wear them.
Maybe we should have some sort of denim guide as a HOF. You know, for each brand we could describe the cut, quality and fit. Just so topics like these don't come around all the time. I'm sure it would be pretty helpful.

One word of caution about the offender: My local TJ Maxx had dozens of pairs on clearance for $12, in assorted colors/washes of denim and corduroy. Sounds like a good price, but....I think they're called 'offender' for a reason. They are SUPER low rise - I.E. only one button on the fly (looks to be a 5" rise only). I wouldn't buy them without trying them on, unless you want your package to be sticking out of the jeans.
