If you don't just have the money to burn then definitely no.

The lens looks sort of greenish. How do they match with other clothing? i.e., maybe a blue shirt and stone chinos?

i have those. they look green, but in person / on a person it's a dark green, nothing bad. does work with pretty much everything.

I did them as Rx - so through my program got 40% off of list for the frames.

So I accidentally sat on my Olive Peoples NDGs last night and cracked one of the lenses and slightly damaged the frame at the hinge.

The frame is fixable with some super glue but the lens is not. Can the lenses be replaced by OP? and if so, is it even worth it? I imagine that the real value / cost is in the lenses so will the repair costs be high enough that I should just look into buying a new pair.

This is my second pair of OP NDG's (first pair fell out of my pocket at a bar) in the last two years and I am starting to think I shouldn't buy sunglasses >$100 given my recent track record.

I recently had my NDG Lenses replaced. It was $100 through OP all said and done for polarized lenses. I did the G15. It's $100 and the glasses aren't selling used for much more than $200 these days so it's almost not worth it. I'm selling mine as well, but wish I didn't spend $100 on new lenses - but then they would never sell.

There are some LF Luxe on Gilt. I just got a pair that don't work on my face, so I will be selling them at my cost (~150) soon on the forum.

Authorized to sell SUPER sunglasses. I picked up a pair.

Every time LF shows up on Gilt, I consider buying a pair or two to try and then I remember that Gilt doesn't do returns. confused.gif In theory the acetate combo wayfarer sunglasses and acetate wayfarers should work based on measurements, but I don't shop for eyewear often enough to picture how they would look on me without trying them on.

yes. ordered some persols from theaspecs to germany.

i got a pair of persol 9649s from framesdirect in the 52mm size. i have a round face and they look great straight on.  the arms flare out a small amount at the metal hinge (meflecto as they call it).  is this normal or a sign that they fit too tight?  they feel fine...

edit i previously tried the next size up, 55mm, and they were way too big.

^ depending on the model this happens... I have numerous pairs and it's just style by style. Especially if you tried on the next size and they were too big. I've gotten some good deals from Frames Direct but only when they offered Buy One, Get One discount.
