Gentlemen

My girlfriend managed to lose my New Wayfarers last week in Laos. Loved those things. She will burn for this.

Been looking at the Warby Parker Thatcher as a possible replacement, any comparison on dimensions? Normal Wayfarers are a bit too 'deep' for my face so if the Warbys fit more like the old than the New, best to stick to what I know.

Any help appreciated

i don't mean to scare you off but my wife made an order from WP as she wanted some Rx sunglasses but the frame was crooked at the bridge so the temples never sat level. Customer service was great and they sent a second pair before we put the first in the mail.  Second pair arrived ok but within a few days, they had the same warp at the bridge so they didn't sit right on a table or on her face. 

 

My wife was done after that and again the customer service was great with the return. The company has some great prices seems to be coming along well but just something to watch out for. Let me know how it goes.

I'd say the classic combination is a gold frame with green lenses, though I'm not really a fan of it; I much prefer the matte chrome frame and gray lenses of my Randolph aviators.

Garrett Leight is on Gilt.  Anyone have any comments or experience with the Speedway aviators?  Looking for a new pair and they seem to be a nice price for polarized and more modern styling.

Garrett Leights run on the smaller size, so if your head/face is big, might want to look elsewere.

Any idea where to find the Persol 2994s in size 52 for cheap now? I already picked up the 649, 714 for around 130 and I don't understand why the 2994s is far more expensive?

Any opinions on the fit? A pair of 649's in 49mm.

Really want to go for the 52 because of more availability and better range of colors on the lenses, but I think they would be too large.

Opinions on the Bolle Damone in tort http://www.bolle.com/products/damone.aspx  I know they mostly make sports glasses, but these are more of a classic wayfarer design.  I'm wanting a cheap pair of wayfarers but not eBay cheap, tried that route and they went straight to the trash.

That is the sort of look I want, but the Oliver's are more than I'm willing to pay (Looking at sub $200) and the Marc Jacobs don't come in a black/black.

If anyone knows something similar to these that is strictly black I would appreciate any ideas. I'm really struggling to find what I want.

 

 

 

I got the Polarized Mosley Tribes Lyndel from sunglasshut.com in tortoise but they also have them in black. Similar to wayfarers but a bit boxier looking. Great quality and really comfortable.
