I love AOs because they're simple, basic, and solid. And I can get them for about 25 bucks at the military uniform shop on post.

I like RayBans New Wayfarers a lot. They are rather timeless and extremely well made.

Smith makes some pretty solid eyewear. I buy most of my shades from Campmor's web bargain section.

Most of the stuff is too sporty, but you can find some fashionable jewels there.

This is what I was going to say. If you are looking for aviators, you might as well get the ones they give to the actual military pilots. I picked up a pair a few months ago and really like them.

Holding my RE aviators up to the computer monitor, they do indeed look identical. Edit: I just looked up some American Optical prices online and if they use the same glass as Randolph Engineering does, the are a great deal.

I'm a Ray-Ban fan, especially when they are found at a bargain.

I recently bought a pair of prescrition rayban rb3343 and I was really happy with how they came out.

A week later I noticed the armani 9275 which are very similar but with a slimmer lense. So I ordered those in prescription as well.

Both are really great quality. In the past I always owned oakleys.

What I realized with sunglasses and glasses is it's much more important to see how they look on you then anything else. CHances are you won't have the type of face to pull off that latest fashion. Get the proper glasses/sunglasses for your face type.

I really enjoy my Dior Homme Sunglasses but also am tempted to get a pair of Mykita sunglasses.

I'm a big fan of the Oliver Peoples family (Mosely Tribes, OP, and Paul Smith). But I am somewhat concerned about the future with the transfer of ownership to Luxottica.

RE and AO aviators are definitely very good plus that extra something about them that they are used by the airforce and have been used by the astronauts who went to the moon. And they are very reasonably priced.
Further rayban and persol are very good imo.
Persols look very classy!

Lol, we must be related. Love your taste in sunglasses.
