Non-Silk ties - Page 2

Cotton and linen squares are fairly ubiquitous. Most any well-stocked quality men's store should have some. Linen squares seem to be more common prior to the spring and summer seasons. One can always fold a good-quality white cotton handkerchief and use it as a square, but linen seems more classic and preferable (although I have a good many more cotton than linen squares).

I like the individuality of non-knit fine weave wool ties. They're more subtle, and serve to draw attention to the balance and quality of fabrics of your shirt/tie/jacket.

i thought that this link would be interesting to add to this old thread. They maybe coming with a larger line of classic designs and colors. I hope so.

I actually bought more than 5 ties on my last purchase several months ago with Jaan J and they gave me a free tie as a gift. I was quite happy about that and they arrived quick in nice tie boxes. Actually bought a couple of Jaan J. ties for x-mas also for silk tie wearers and they didnt even notice any difference.

I just bought all 6 Jaan J. Classic ties (but only the blue one from the polka dots because the other 2 are not my taste) and then I remembered this thread from some time back. I hope I get another free tie. I'll give an update.

So these are microfiber ties? They cost under a dollar at wholesale and can be had for a little over a dollar here in Beijing. The slim ones have recently become more common.

If there really is significant interest, I could go pick up a stack of them, for a small commission in the form of career help.

Just a FYI. I did receive another free tie "as a gift for my generous purchase" last week after buying the 6 classic ties. Once again I am happy with my Jaan J ties and their service except the fact that I wish they had more "collegiate" looking ties. Well you can't have it all.

My husband and other friends and family have had the same problem with finding non-silk/halal ties that are stylish and high-end /luxury quality.  Honestly it was such a hassle, b/c I also wanted to shop at a company that didn't exploit their employees etc.
