Probably a bit too soon, but it's South Park. I'm still surprised how the death of Obama's grandmother has affected people in general.

Best part about the episode is the reaction of the Obama and McCain supporters. It's exactly how everyone is acting.

I was getting rather tired of Randy's antics as of late, but last night's episode goes down as one of his funniest moments.

I don't know if it was the best episode ever -- I think I could name ten episodes off the top of my head that were funnier -- but it was pretty good. Pity it kind of copped out at the end.

True, I think I got a little excited. The fact they put out the episode with such recent events was astonishing to me. Also, their ability to capture my exact sentiments regarding the election was equally amazing. Looking back on the episode, the Ocean's 11 spoof was a little lame, and the ending could have been better. Still, South Park's knack for brilliant social commentary on such recent events blew me away.

They probably made two eps and just showed whichever one won.

That's what I assumed as well.

Well, that and they had to do the opening segment the day after the election.

They can turn out an entire episode in days. A famous example was when Saddam Hussein was captured by American soldiers...a few days later they addressed it in a new episode. So this week's episode could have been finished not much after the results were rolling in....assuming other elements of the show (like the Oceans Eleven material) were already completed since it wasn't dependent on who won.

I agree I was rather suprised at how quickly the episode came out, given the events that are referenced in the piece.

Honestly though, I found it really amusing but felt it lacked focus on the main characters of South Park (Cartman, Kyle, etc), which is fine and all...but to me it creates a lack in replay value of the episode.

I don't watch South Park too often, but that episode was AWESOME.

I, too, couldn't believe how fast hey turned the episode around. Classic.
