Admittedly, most times the source material remains the best. But such repackaging doesn't erase the original. Bond's a cultural icon, and sooner or later, I imagine, there will be at least one
reinterpretations. Sooner or later, things will come full circle, just as Casino Royale returned to Fleming. Besides, would a black Bond really be that much farther removed from the books than the later Moore movies?
