Wow. I hope to not do this, seriously. They'd be just hitting their stride at 50 wears minimum.

Thanks rtp. 4 days, from the mdubs store. Originally from citi shoes. I'm excited, I hear mdubs' shoes don't crease!

I almost pm'ed mdubs about those LWBs a little while ago but held off.  You beat me to another great pair of shoes!  Congrats and enjoy in great health my friend!

My overall impression of these saddles is very high, they are fairly formal due to being Color #8 on Black (Grain Calf), but have a playfulness to them due to the styling and brass eyelets. Went perfectly with my gray nailhead suit and purple gingham collared shirt. I have to say, today was one of the few times that I was actually complimented by a co-worker on my shoes.

Alden x Blackbird (given to DC) Saddle Shoes. Black Grain Calf and Color #8 Shell Cordovan. Argyles of course.

I am a little sad that I couldn't get the creasing out of the grain, but it is calf after all... Not shell. I could be wrong, but I think that the Calf in the front is not lined either. But, I could just be used to the thickness of Shell at this point...

The argyles make that ensemble pop. Congrats.

Cool Arrow, thank you very much! I thought that those socks played right into the outfit very nicely... Glad that you agree!

Tomorrow is going to be a weird day for me, we are having a company Luau, so management was essentially told to wear a Hawaiian shirt...

Woot, Adam just let me know that my AF53 pre-orders have arrived and will ship out tomorrow. I also have a pair of those gorgeous Winn Perry cap toe boots arriving Friday. Time to take a looong break from acquisitions now unless a shell unicorn appears.

The ones Sazon posted about 5 days ago. I was powerless to resist since I was looking for a tan CT boot anyway and I have my Barrie boot sizing nailed.

non-alden q: can anyone recommend a women's shoe tree? my wife got a pair of shoes from anatomica when we were in paris (http://anatomica-sapporo.com/blog/archives/2192) and needs some trees. interestingly, these have a very similar shape to the modified last.

Absolutely crazy timing I guess, just keeping up with this thread is enough!  Glad I caught you with a second wear on them :)

I'm still on the fence, looking for something fun more than formal.  I ordered, I'll decide with the shoes on foot.

Thanks for the feedback.
