Mike, there's "the shell club," then there's "The Alden Nuclear Shell Club," of which only you and a few others are permanent members, is that correct?biggrin.gif

If you're looking for a solid, well made all round good pair of jeans, they're great for that. I'd say if you're looking for unique features like slubbiness, cool selvedge ID, etc, I'd look elsewhere. Honestly my favorite part of the jeans are the waistband haha, as silly as that sounds.

Ah yeah the detail work is really great. Glad you like the jacket, the sizing doesn't work for me.

That's nothing. Once you add in the AE, CJ, RL shell pairs he owns, the head starts to swim...

Ya, I have been really busy lately. And I have only 40 pages left in this thread to pick up!

Maybe the new cigar will give east coasters a better choice. But don't know any retailer that has a list for them tho.

Ha! No worries! I have been pretty busy lately also. My wife is gone for another day so I have a little more time than normal. :-)

I would contact either CitiShoes (has dark edges) or TheShoeMart (has antique edges). I honestly have no clue if either plans to rerun them though. But never hurts to try?

Meh, there is only one club and it's for those who own or appreciate Shell Cordovan. Some don't like it though as it doesn't breath as much as calf. Obviously, that doesn't bother me at all. :-)

Sounds like a plan. I'll give them a call and see. I am also planning on calling Cathy and Alden SF to see if I can be placed on the list for the next ravello LWB (even though who knows when will it happen!)

My new Alden plain toe Blucher in color 8, #990. Its the most perfect burgundy color I've seen. A pleasure to wear.

Looking for a Shell Chukka in something other than #8. I heard Alden DC had some Cigar but I am sure they are all spoken for by now. I was lucky to get the Ravello LWB Waterlock sole. Man what a nice comfortable ride that double waterlock is.... Smooth...

Cigar wingtip on Plaza last from Leathersoul. inlove.gif

God knows where they are hiding, nobody ever posts them wearing them and it be a major shame if they were just sitting in someone closet.

(someone with a sz 11 who would be willing to part with them to someone who would wear them please let me know! biggrin.gif)

Snapped a couple quick family photos while cleaning out my closet.  Mostly Aldens and EGs w/ a few other scattered brands
Great family pic beebs. Awesome shoes and boots there.
I'm always curious to see how fellow members store their shoes.
