Only time I see them in SD is when I look down at my own feet. I was somewhat disappointed in not being able to find a single place in San Diego to try a pair of Aldens on?
How often do the rest of you see Aldens in the wild?
I live in San Diego, and NEVER see anyone wearing Aldens.

There is nothing "arguable" about that.  The left shoe is clearly larger than the right shoe, and I wouldn't keep them no matter what happens.  You don't want to start forcing a shoe of this price and caliber to fit by using cheap adhesive foam pads.  Sometimes those are necessary for some people, but you should make sure the shoes are the best they can be before going that route.

Agree.  That is clearly a mis-marked 9.5 on the Left.

I have both Cigar and Whiskey LHS.  You will not be disappointed with the Cigar.  It is a very versatile shoe.

exactly what DonL said, on both points

agree with the above. go neutral. i've even stopped using the burgundy cordovan cream because i don't like how uniformly it changes the color of color #8. on my ravello i've only ever used neutral, and started recently using it on my #8 as well. i just got a pair of cigar LHS and i plan to only use neutral on that as well. part of the beauty of shells is how each one has a different hue. neutral won't affect this. creams with pigment will.

No objection to the above; however, there are times I want the shell to darken. For those times the burgundy and dark brown Saphir creams are great. Admittedly, most shells I have intentionally darkened are from AE.

If I wear a 10D in the Copley loafer, would I be best fit in an Aberdeen full strap in 10E?

I know the Copley is wider

Dangit. Knew I shouldn't have hesitated. Was browsing the bay today and saw an 11.5 Barrie double leather sole #8 LWB pop up for $79, w/ a BIN at $229. Should've just pulled the trigger before heading out for soccer.

If it was a forum member, congrats - and you know where to sell it if fit doesn't work out. :nodding:

I hate you. It's worse in the other end of the spectrum (smaller sizes) with prices going probably much higher than the norm due to overseas markets. Haven't been wearing much Aldens recently since I've been trying to get some mileage on my bal boots but for casual Friday: Day Trippers (Leffot)

It was pictures on this thread that contributed to my shoe addiction. Although I don't get on here as much as I use to I thought that I may contribute.

Today i'm wearing my J.Crew Tobacco LWB

Awesome boots. What do you guys think are the chances of Day Trippers being available again in the next year or two?
