Dear sir, I could be mistaken but I believe that C&J offers Goodyear welted shoes and boots for ladies. Worth a check if your wife likes nice shoes.

Of course they all look like men's shoes in women's sizes.

I seem to recall Alden offered women's size in some models, like LHS, too.

Indeed--thanks gents.  Though a bit more limited style-wise, they do look daintier.  I'd love to see them in person.  Next NY trip...

Does anywhere more accessible do a snuff dover with eyelets besides Frans Boone?  I think the eyelets really make it pop.

Just ordered some petrol blue Walts from the Epaulet sale. All I need now are some ravello wt and nst boots to try for a @MrDV picture. Oh wait, I need to call my landscaper too. :hide:

That is unbelievably prominent.  How the heck did that make it through QC, unless there is no QC...

Maybe Alden installed dimmer lights to help with their QC metrics.

Maiden voyage for my Whiskey PTBs from DC. I too have an ever so faint line on the left one that is only noticeable at the right angle, in the right light. Didn't notice until half way thought the day (inspected them carefully when received and didn't notice then). Going to give them a go as is.

The color does seem darker than older whiskeys (at least based on photos), but I like it as I was a little worries about it being too light for business casual. Thoughts on the light grey pant pairing?

Hmmm. Was that from a very recent run or a pidge older? I returned a pair in your size last year due to them having a line on the toe.

Now that I think about it, these have way more personality than my basic snuff Dovers. I'll hold off for now.

The standard snuff Dover is awesome. I would wear the hell out of them and then send them to B Nelson. I'm sure he can swap the eyelets for a nominal fee
