Don't confuse flat/storm/reverse welt with 270 v. 360.

the Innsbrook boot is 270 and the 975 is a 360, regardless of the reverse/storm/flat welt.

The JCrew is 270 and the Leffot is 360.

On the JCrew, the stitching is not all the way around the heel. You just cant see it well in the photo.

Hope this helps.

So then out of curiosity...how is the heel portion (the other 90deg.) of the upper attached to the sole?

Nailed.

This is why 270 degree welt shoes need a heel pad.

@MoneyWellSpent can drop some knowledge if I don't have it completely correct.

Yes--that helps a lot. The 270/260 refers to the stitching only--not the actual welt.  This photo shows it clearly.  And now that I know what I am looking for, I can see it in the J Crew shot as well.

Another difference I just noticed is the stitching along the eye stay--on the J Crew version, it continues to the back of the boot, and Leffot's ends at the vamp.  Amazing--given the relatively small range of base styles, the small details create a dizzying number of permutations.
