Ha, so they were made in 2011 or 2001. K means that they finished in November of that year.

Absolutely stunning! I'm very jealous!

I'm thinking the reason these are seconds is they are labeled wrong...called cigar but actually Ravello or whiskey IMHO. No matter what...they are awesome shoes!

Does anyone know the return timeframe policy for TSM seconds? I received two pair on Thursday but am stuck in Carmel until Tuesday morning. From some pics I had sent to me, it looks like both pairs might be going back. Just want to make sure I have enough time.

Thanks in advance!

Ed is cool and will take care of you as long as they are in the same condition... Stuck in Carmel, as in Carmel California? I don't think you are stuck sir!

Things i've done to avoid walking in rain with exotic shell:

1. Had a 2nd pair of "rain worthy" shoes in the car with me.
2. Plastic bags on my feet (ravello swb) for the 50 yard dash to my car from the office.
3. Ran like a girl skipping over puddles.
4. Removed my shoes and went bare foot from my car to my house.

...i wish this was a lie confused.gif

Obviously not the more recent cigar 9073. It's probably the old ravello reglazed with the newer dark version (it is much darker indoors). The vamp and heels are creased, the tongues are really faded and the insole is imprinted with wear. However, the sole and heel pads look 100% new. They don't say "restoration", but they sure look it (welt seems to stick out more as well). I've asked TSM about them, but won't be keeping a used restored shoe sold as a second.

These look identical to my cigar balmorals, which were called cigar by the retailer (Citishoes).

Do you recommend sizing down for unlined ptb ? in comparison to classic versions.

I find the unlined dovers to be a bit more roomy than lined PTBs but I don't think it's necessary to size down though. It really depends on how fitted the lined PTS are to begin with.

Alright thank you.

Personally I find the captoe boots and the lined ptb fit differently (both in 9D barrie last). The ptb being slightly less tight. It may be because there is no ankle support though.

Haha yes sir, in Carmel CA. Came over for a quick weekend getaway. Love the area, would love to move my business over here.. Sad to see no Alden representation in town, although I did try on some beautiful EGs, just couldn't swing the $1,395 asking price at the time.

salt used on streets and roadways are very detrimental to leather shoes
leather soles which are damp are detrimental to your body on marble or tile floors
