Currently starting wear #1 of Mac break in method. Oh, how I hope these babies fit. Love the color and various subtleties across the shoe - exactly what I was looking for in a casual LWB.

I am returning the ravello longwings with brass eyelets to J Crew... I like the Alden SF version (no eyelets, dark sole) a lot more... I have the chukkas for casual wear.

Anybody score those gorgeous whiskey PTBs in 10D from shoe mart last month and change their mind? I'm your man....

I got the J crew crepe sole LWB in the mail yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised that the welt is black, not brown like shown in the photos. Now I just need to figure out if the D width is good for me or not. I have a PTB in 9.5E with a slightly loose right heel, and a 9.5D LWB thats slightly snug across the left vamp. Can't decide which is better... I honestly think either will work, I just don't want to find out in two weeks that the D is too narrow.

Tight is bad. Slightly snug will probably be OK. It really depends on your comfort level. Best of luck, and you made a nice score with the LWBs.

My second pair of #8 LWB. Scored on the bay for a song. My other pair has agatine eyelets, so I intend to put topys or commando soles on them and make them my bad weather 'wings.
