what's best for CXL?

thanks!

I use neatsfoot oil on chromexcel with great results. Clean the leather, apply the oil, wipe away excess, let it dry, brush, brush, brush for a smooth, light sheen. I happen to have the Angelus brand (100% pure neatsfoot oil), but I'm sure any brand will do (inexpensive and often available OTR at most shoe repair shops). Wait up, the ones from Harrison aren't aberdeen but plaza???? Wow I missed that. I know this was probably discussed a 1293810238120398 times but how does plaza fit compared to barrie?

Plaza fits TTS typically. Barrie is more generous and (typically) requires people to size down.

Forgot one thing - I also used some Renomat applied to a cloth to remove some Indigo transfer that was on the top of the Whiskey SW

Description from the mfg:

"Venetian Imperial Leather Balm
The same fine qualities as Venetian Shoe Cream packaged in 4oz glass bottles. Available in neutral, black, brown, cordovan and tan. A distinctive and premium item for fine retail stores."

Cool. Just noticed it's available on Amazon too:

Wow how did I miss those, and marked at $445 to top it off... Thank goodness need supply says they only ship within the US or I would have really been upset.

Next time, see if someone is willing to ship them to you. Maybe even offer a small fee. I think the July promo code might even work with that, so it could be $400...for brand new Indy boots.

Nice. Why the two Lexols? What does Obenaufs do?

I'm thinking of getting the 32 fl oz tin of VSC and one large thing of Lexol. Can't decide between those and Saphir Dubbin Grasse for my CXL boots. I'm sure they're all fine.

Considering the Mac method, at what point do you apply the conditioner or VSC/Saphir? On the third step of buffing with a dry MF cloth?

One of them is for my car interior. Obenhaufs is for protection from the elements but it does change the color of the treated area. I use it on my boots that I use for inclement weather.
