Advice on brushing out water spots? Mine don't go away even with 15-20 minutes with a horsehair brush. Do you use something different?

sometimes they won't brush out. happened to my longwings. shell is unpredictable. i still get angry when i look at the spots.

Try saphir reno, brushing, then a damp cloth. Then brush and buff with a dry cloth. It'll come out.

I talked to Ed at Shoemart and he said Ravello Chukkas will come in about 6 to 8 weeks from now. He said the order was placed a year ago!

The Shoe Mart had ravello chukkas in stock a few months ago as well ...

The fact that it was placed a year ago is interesting - I always wondered how Alden priorities "stock" rare cordovan shoes like chukkas and longwings versus the more special orders... There have been ravello boot preorders that have been pending for years that have not yet been filled, but other retailers seem to have stocked, sold out, reordered, and restocked longwings, chukkas and PTBs.

^You are correct. I pre ordered Ravello Brixtons probably over 1.5years ago with no avail date. Shoemart has to be one of the biggest clients so they may get first dibs. I'm getting them this time around!

Try saphir reno, brushing, then a damp cloth. Then brush and buff with a dry cloth. It'll come out.

In addition, try the spoon trick. I found that it worked better than brushing alone on welts on my PTB's. Search this thread for "spoon" for a lot more details on how to do it.

Does shoemart put a pre order page or list? It can be a bit frustrating clicking on every make up individually to find that it out of stock. I wish they would simply post what they presently have in stock.

Meltonian leather balm works well also and cost us 25% of saphir!
