To be honest I only see it as a way some have chosen to show respect and in so have not been bothered by it.

Nope. Mac's a good dude, and a gentleman - not to mention, the Alden king - and personally, I just say it out of respect. Harmless in my view (recognizing my view is merely that).

What about mahogany? Although not currently available, wouldn't that also fit the description?

mahogany appears to work also.. not a fan of this offering below, but the color works for me.. is this color completely done by alden?

Mahogany scotchgrain shell is somewhat rarer than hen's teeth.

just noticed someone posted a used ravello plain to boot (anatomica version) on ebay. Way too big for me but might be worth a look if you are size 11.5.

Are there any shops, in particular, that would sell/stock some of the more narrow sizes? I'm more than likely a 10-11 B or C in most Aldens and the options seem to be extremely few and far between, from what I've found.

Are there any shops, in particular, that would sell/stock some of the more narrow sizes? I'm more than likely a 10-11 B or C in most Aldens and the options seem to be extremely few and far between, from what I've found.

Maybe the Shoe Mart. Probably not in stock, but they will list those sizes on their website as sizes they can order.
