I can't quite see the holes in the back, but I am guessing that you are seeing the place where they put small nails or tacs into the shoes to hold them tightly on the last. All Alden's have that. Sometimes move visible than others.

I posted these a while back, but here you go.

Anybody have a cobbler recommendation for San Francisco? I want to get the tongues of my Indys stitched down to stop them from sliding to the side every time I wear them.

Thanks for the comment. No wonder the holes are on the same area.

Hopefully this isn't the Ashland thread-jack that broke the thread's back:

I prefer the smallest wallet possible as I keep it in a front pocket.  Eight credit-card-equivalents are on one side and business cards are on the other.  At first it was a pain to have to pull all eight C-C-Es out each time I wanted to use one, but by now it's second nature - absolutely worth it to have a perfect little piece of shell wherever I go.  :D

These Ashland wallets are making my day! I am going to pick one up eventually but I spent my accessory money on a few cordovan watch straps already, maybe in a few months.

I'm a front pocket wallet guy. This Ashland Leather Louis "Little New York" foots the bill and then some. I got mine in #8 and it was an irregular for 20% off. I suppose if I was going to buy another one, it'd be the Tony The Ant.

This is quite possibly the best value on the market in Shell Cordovan.

Those Chocolate Suede Tankers are my #1 wanted boot/shoe right now. They look fantastic. Congrats to the wearer. Im jealous.

I talked to Leather Soul like a month ago, just missing the last restock. They are not planned till later this year possibly from what I understand and preorders are sold out.

I have the little new york in #4, Cigar and Whiskey. I am a long time dedicated card case and separate money clip carrier. The little new york is the perfect piece for me

^^Your choco suede??? I know, man. I meant to comment! Those things are unreal. If I wasn't in on the brown CXL, I'd be asking about the suede.
