Any chance you can work on him to also order a few 12.5D in Barrie?  Us large footed individuals appreciate the chance to get cool make-ups.

i would suggest that you call Steve, and ask him, when he makes the order would he include your size. i do not know Steve's business model but he might require a deposit to order your size

Good looking Whiskey Indy!
What colour of wax did you use on them?

I misspelled it in my original post, but its tan paste wax from Alden. I've used it on my whiskey chukkas and wingtips as well and have been very happy with results

To answer Mac's question, this is the first full coat of paste wax, I used some before to cover up a spot or two

Get the close heel if it available as it really balances the boot out nicely.

CTYGGG, gorgeous color on those Indys. Can I ask about how many wears on those (or how long you've had them)? Have they lightened up since you got them?

I am always learning more about my tastes and preferences. I thought that I'd always prefer a 360-welt and always a storm-welt/split-reverse welting, since I lean towards a more casual/work boot look. But especially with the Barrie (and probably Trubalance, too), I'm finding what you said so very true. The Barrie's heel tends to be huge when it's a 360-welt AND split-reverse, too. When I got my #8 PCT boot from J.Crew, I found the natural welt and a closed heel really added a nice balance to the look and the heel wasn't so ginormous.
