The tremont on double leather soles is pretty chunky, a la barrie.  While they are oxfords/bals, they can be worn casually (khakis and denim) and a variety of suits.  I like them with cotton/chino suits, seersucker, and even light gray or navy wool suits.  I happen to think they are pretty versatile, though others may reasonably disagree.

Similar to the pair I recently received from Alden SF, this batch seems to have a greenish tint relative to my other pairs of Whiskey.

Has anyone experienced this before, or is it new to this color?  Seems that the greenish tone lost by Cigar migrated over to this batch...

The very first ravello shoe I ever saw in person looked just like this; it was also LHS.

BB (Black Fleece) used to sell a black shell LWB on the grant last.  I have never heard of or seen a LWB in barrie or in color 8 for BB... but that doesn't necessarily mean it does/has not existed.

These are the BB version. I believe they are on the "Snap" last, which is similar to Plaza, but I'll let others more knowledgeable chime in on that.

Most say that the M-75 last (BB's last for their shortwing bal) is most similar to the plaza last.  I happen to strongly agree.  The snap last is probably more like the Hampton last.

Great week indeed BK!  I love the look of this saddle, but not sure I would wear it that often.  I need someone to convince me to snag these beauties!  Enable me someone!:butbut:

Or, someone, snag my size from the Leffot website...

Interesting custom re-sole job from ebay (not mine). Never seen an Alden boot end up looking like this before.

A bit OT: does anyone have an idea if it's allowed to put a can of Nano protector into checked in baggage on international flights? I know aerosols are prohibited by postal services.

Forgive the terrible iPhone photos in low indoor lighting, but I wanted to share these before/after pictures before I wear them out tomorrow. I recently had my natural chromexcel plain toe boot resoled by B. Nelson (at the recommendation of this thread), converting leather soles to dainite. I have to say, I think they did a wonderful job and quite quickly too!

I've had these boots for almost two years now and have easily worn them 75% of those days. They've taken a beating. I shouldn't have been surprised, but a few weeks ago I noticed that the soles were starting to mold. I immediately sent them off and thought it was a perfect opportunity to convert to brick colored dainite soles, something I've been wanting to do for a while.

Spoiler: Due to the excessive amount of photos I've taken (Click to show)

Oh, and the free laces were a nice touch!

I have shell and suede Indy's on crepe. The J Crew version may still be available, but they're not a common make up.
