Thanks...not snuff, but Leffot just reduced prices again on a few suede shoes/chukkas (one Alden, a few AS with brick Dainite).

Great looking shoe, honestly one of my fav from Alden.

One day they will be mine but for now I opted to grab the J Crew MacAlister oxford with the crepe sole as a temporary solution, it works but it sure isn't as nice as those beauties.

Tried at a deer bone for the first time this morning, worked pretty well for me and way more effective than using a spoon. Cleared up rolls pretty well and I only used for maybe 30 seconds on each shoe. Shoe trees are not in shoes for before and after. Deer bone was also pretty oily compared what I've read here

A couple of things, first, thanks for posting. I never knew the bone helped with rolls. I always assumed it was great with scuffs and bringing out the shine on shoes that had been over-polished. This was really informative and part of what makes this site such a valuable resource. Now for the not so great news. I thought the the boots in the video were killer. They had an 'Alden' look to them but I had never seen them. The clean look of the captoe along with the well-placed brogueing almost had me drooling. The closest thing I could think of was the jcrew Captoe. Went to the jcrew site and with a $25 rewards card in hand (and like others, a company bonus burning a hole in my pocket) made an impulse purchase. Feels strange buying boots at the end of the winter, but we'll see how it works out.

A long-winded way of saying (again), thanks for the great post.

Tough finding them for a reasonable price but the hanger project has a package that includes some saphir products. Due to the price, the shipping is free. I would check them out.
