First pair of Alden's and first pair of natural chromexecel. I will admit I am not very knowledgeable about this type of leather so I could use advice. As I was looking over the boots I noticed a small, but given the color, noticeable blemish/stain on the left side of the left boot. Looking over the rest of the boot and the other I do not see anything similar. So my question is: would you consider this a defect and worth returning?  Or is this normal?

Thanks in advance!

I read the entire post and wasnt ridiculing him at all, just being blunt. From his comment about the sneakers and jumping around from an 11 to a 9 I suggested he needs to get fitted. Not sure why you're harping on it when I wasn't rude to him and already apologized as well. Perhaps you're the one that needs to read the entire post and work on your reading comprehension skills. Or perhaps read more than the 1 post you seem to be stuck on.

If anything, you've been much more antagonizing towards me than I was to him. I accused him of not being fitted properly for shoes while you attacked my 'reading comprehension' skills and keep assuming I'm not reading entire posts. So tell me who is the victim here?

Either way I'm done discussing this with you so move on or don't as it makes no difference to me.

I personally would not as it seems pretty tiny and you'll most likely have much worse than that on there after a few wears. But then again I have no experience with anything that light in color either.

Anyone sort out this no-more-antique-edge rumor? Just caught up with a few hundred posts. If true, that's a tremendously stupid decision by Alden IMO.

^ This has been dismissed by SevenFoldTieGuy's source.

I'm an enabler...friend walked out of Alden SF with the Chukka (9D still left). A little dark indoors on phone's camera (no actual variation on back).

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

LOL - I think I was overloaded a bit!

I have kept bunch of #8 shoes and boots, and a few selections in each of the exotics : #4, ravello, cigar, and Ravello. Plus 2 suedes. Trying to sell my suede Chukkas though

It's funny, b/c some of the awesome shoes/boots I parted with, I thought I could never do without. But now that they are safe with new owners, I don't miss them much at all. Thin it out and wear what you have!

Are those the Ravellos? They do look much darker here than I imagined. Can't wait to see them in person.

^ Yes. I'm sure they'll be a little lighter in person and natural light.

Sazon - how did you like the AE #8 wingtips?

I understand sazon's thinking. I've sold almost all my extraneous pairs - I looked today and didn't see anything I really wanted to sell. I have some models on preorder and a few I may want to buy for specific purposes, but I'm close to winding down the purchases. I need a new watch, may as well start looking at those instead

Im with you, i have what I need plus one on preorder for delivery next month. As for the watch I can only recommend an omega seamaster (planet ocean:slayer:)

^^ I'd want to say I have everything I need but some makeup inevitably pops up that I feel I have to buy.  So my project now is to get rid of as many boots that I can bear to part with.  And I'm glad I don't wear a watch because that could be extremely dangerous for my budget.
