Yeah, those are the ones. I like that it has a sole that can stand up to some rain. It's supposed to be much lighter as well. I think the look of that with the brown welt will give me the semi-casual look I'm going for.

I very briefly owned a Barrie-lasted chukka on the same sole. It is light, and should be fine with rain, though I can't comment on its long term durability. It's odd that those microcellular rubber soles don't really have a ton of information written about them online.

You'll have to let us know what you think of them once you get them and use them for a while.

Looks like there is a split in the leather?  You should take this back.

I have a pair of Alden for JCrew LWB in snuff suede headed my way. Any suggestions on a belt? Something more on the casual side preferably...

If you're not interested in a belt from Alden, maybe go with C&J. I'm very happy with my C&J belt and the belts from them that I've handled.

MrDV -- inspiring boot envy since 4/2012.

I have what I would consider a modest but respectable collection of Aldens, 8 pairs in total. But I'm pretty certain that I would give up 5 pairs for those Ravello cap toes.

You guys with size 10-12 feet are so lucky. Those sizes are always the last to go, so you guys can have your pick with all the discounted shoes. I would jump on those jumper boots if I had 11.5 size feet.

I use it and it works OK. I think it is just re-packaged Armor All. Has the same look, milky consistency and smell.
