thanks, i have a german product "collonil" I've used it on my navy suede leffot lwbs. the spray did not change the color, but navy was already pretty dark to begin with. i will try nano when i run out of the can i have (which may be in years, i don't spray my suede often).

Not that I don't believe you:satisfied:but a picture of all four of them side by side would be appropriate following your statement :stirpot:

Thanks kindly.

That pic was taken in very bright daylight.
After i sprayed it went from tan to a more of a brown shade.
I use AE's suede spray and there was no change in color.  When first applied it looks darker bc they are wet.  But after a couple of minutes of drying, they look the same as new.  Maybe it's your product??

+1

I have used suede sprays from AE, Meltonian, and Tarrago. None of them have darkened my suede (Alden's snuff and mocha kid; EG's nutmeg).

My only difference is that I reapply LD after any shoe care where I applied Renovateur or VSC. It ends up being 2-3 times a year.

FWIW, In discussing this with Alden shortly after LD hit the market, I was told:

(1) apply it each time the shoes are treated with another product (note: I was told LD can be applied before or after the other product ; my preference is to do it before)
and
(2) regardless of #1, apply it immediately prior to the shoes being in wet weather (assuming, of course, we know when such weather will hit us).

I have a few pairs of color 8 shoes and boots. biggrin.gif No two are exactly alike. And that's a good thing IMO.
