Does anyone have a strong feeling one way or the other?? SevenFoldTG? Uncle?? Thanks in advance...
I know SFTG LOVES
the snap last. I have no experience with it, so can't help much, but I really like the hampton for this style of shoe.
Buy both return 1?
Or get the BB 30% off when the next corporate event takes place. I think I remember them having one shortly after xmas last year...
I like both the Snap and Hampton, but the Snap happens to fit my foot a bit better. I have the Alden for BB version of the 9015 and 9016 - and each is counted among my favorites for dress shoes. The Alden for BB version can be hard to find, so by necessity you may have to go with the Hampton stock model. If you can get both, do it, and keep the one that fits the best. A few years ago, I did just that - bought both versions, tried them on, and kept the one that fit the best. The Snap, for my foot, was slightly more snug than the Hampton. But that of course could be the other way around depending on your foot type.
In Alden's printed literature and in email exchanges I have had with Alden, they liken the Snap to the Hampton in terms of fit and appearance.
Can't go wrong either way.
