I know this might sound kind of silly, but I think we should organize an Alden "happy hour" event in certain major cities...would anyone be game for this?   Not sure what kind of turnout we'd have, and if people are as interesting in real life as they are on this forum, but just a thought.  My other thought would be to organize an annual (or one-time) Alden factory site visit, perhaps even turn it into a weekend, where you could bring your wives, girlfriends, etc.  Then again, maybe better to maintain anonymity...happy Friday everyone.

This would be a good time had by all; however, about a month ago I inquired about a factory visit and was told by Alden (a rep. at the factory) that factory visits/tours are no longer allowed - due to liability reasons.

Looking looking for LHS Whiskey 9D anywhere.  I did luck into some Whiskey LWB's at Alden SF, the only Whiskey Long Wings they had.  Stroke of luck.  Whiskey is a great color for the desert and can be worn year round.  Please let me know if you run across any in your travels .

The Shoemart has it in 9D - or at least did the last I checked. I love the LHS in whiskey - wore them tonight sans socks.

A very nice shoe - and very formal (hard to get much more formal than a plaintoe bal in black). I used to own it, but ended up getting rid of it due to lack of use. I found myself instead opting for my black shell captoe bal for dressy/formal occasions and my black shell ptb for more casual occasions.

LS suggests this shoe can be worn casually. Personally, I totally disagree; I could not (and did not) ever wear this shoe casually.
