Interesting i knew gc was made by cj but i was unaware about ac and eg. Pretty penny for ac compared to mainline eg.

I'm not sure if this is still the case but it was maybe a year ago? Been on the fence with one of the AC last pair models but have avoided going in to resist temptation

I have 4 of them and they only shed when they are new.  After all the loose bristles fall out, the rest stay in there for the long haul.

Thank you all for the kind words. This is my first foray into both Alpine grain and waterloc. So far, I am very pleased. I also like the retro look of the stitching on the sole. Again, much thanks.

I'm not seeing anything special on the website. Maybe they cleaned it up?

I noticed this earlier and enjoyed seeing the pictures. But every size was out of stock, so I didn't get too excited about it.

How do they fit in relation to your Aldens? What size do you wear vs your Barrie size?

This happens every now and again yet, for some reason, I always fall for it.

Oh, you're right. I got as far as opening the drop-down menu for size and marveling at the apparent full stock. I never bothered picking a size and width because I knew I couldn't order anything right now. Sorry to get people's hopes up.

I did get super excited for about 1/100000 of a second. Seeing ravello wingtip boots was great but as soon as I saw the color 4, I realized I was either dreaming or it was a cruel joke. I wanted to believe that maybe a restock was imminent (they're just tweaking the site) but this seems really doubtful. Though there is always hope, given the recent Bigfoot-Rainbow-Shell-Blowout.
