Yeah the grant captoes are untouchable. Theoretically the tankers and the bluchers can get a bit repetitive, though both get plenty of wear (I have worn both the past seven days). Honestly I will wear the bluchers more in the spring and summer anyway, so I should really keep all three.
Yeah, I'm on several preorders from that run (black WT blucher, color 8 pitt boots and the CXL plaza wingtip). I'm hoping for arrival in time for Fall 2014.
Here you go, my 20 year Hanover LWBs. They actually look much better in person than the picture shows. I abused them badly for many years. In fact early on I used to polish them regularly with black paste wax because that was what I was told to do by an old timer. As noted still worn weekly.
That is one nice looking shoe. Thanks for the pic.
Seriously???? Twenty years? Very nicely done uncle. Thanks for the pic.
Edit - because of this pic, I grabbed my jcrew color 8 LWB's, brushed them, and they are ready for work tomorrow morning. These look delicious and mine aren't quite there yet, but this pic definitely motivated me to pull mine out.

Finally took delivery of all my Aldens from J. Crew. Settled on two pair:
Hoping the first pair starts to look a bit more broken in like the picture. I was looking to do them with denim more than anything. Second pair is amazing. Pictures don't do them justice. Can't believe I haven't seen more pics of them in this thread.
I haven't seen any since relocating here in August. In fairness, I work in a notoriously casual discipline (IT) of an exceptionally casual industry (entertainment). Wearing a t-shirt without a slogan or wrinkles can be construed as being "dressed up" by the people I work with.
The general business dress I've seen here runs toward dark, often black suits with no tie and nondescript footwear. I've seen some awful shoes on the Metro.
