First post here so please be gentle.  :)

I'm looking to get my first pair of shell cordovan shoes.  Debating between PT and LWB in #8.  I do not wear suits very often, mainly casual for work and every day.  I currently own a few pair of boots, 403s and PTBs in chromexcel, suede shoes and chukkas.

Any suggestions between the PT and the LWB?

Open to other suggestions too, wear a 7D in a Barrie.

Thanks!

I really think it comes down to personal preference between those 2. The LWB are a little less formal, but if that isn't a concern then just go with your personal style. For me, I'd start with the LWB. You'll eventually add the other anyway. Plenty of room for both in any wardrobe.

cannot go wrong with either of those selections. Given that you already have a PTB (albeit in a different leather) I would probably start with the LWB.

Once again, I find myself :deadhorse: but these are worth re-quoting again and again. Great stuff as usual Mr.DV.

I don't think I 'spoilered' those bad boys, either!

I had my chance at these but let them go because I'm not a huge boot guy. Hard to not have just a little regret after seeing them in action.

I was convinced that the Ravello WT were the 'best boot ever'. Now, not so sure. Exceptional!

Thanks, I'm tempted just to order both.  I have one kidney that's not getting much use anyway.

I have the color 8 PTB and color 8 longwing with an antique sole. I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up with both the color 8 and black longwings one day. They are classic shoes.

With Alden closed for inventory, it looks like the wait for my boots continues...

Though, if anyone has had any delays, it might help for you to know that they'll resume shipping out orders and stuff tomorrow. At least, that's what I've been told.

Not exactly "enough to make a grown man cry," but it definitely got a few choice curse words out of me. Brand new jar of Saphir renovateur. Dropped it, broke the lid. Crikey!
