Haven't heard that one, but makes sense.

pretty sure it was this thread that had the one piece shell belt discussion a couple months back... someone swapped the buckle for a nicer one..

anyone remember that company? the buckles were $400 or so IIRC

thanks!

I don't think you can have a one piece shell belt, no? I mean maybe with a really small waist size.

Alden of Carmel has a model or two in Trubalance.  Alden of DC has cap toes (unperforated) on the Grant last, but not sure if they also have any that are fully plain toe.

Thanks. Those look nice. Is the trubalance a little more sleek than barrie? Looking for a slightly less bulbous toe than my Barrie shoes.

I, too, noticed that some Aldens (and other items) were showing up under the Sale section, but not with a sale price. I was able to add them to my cart with Safari (not Chrome), but the current code did not work at checkout.

Was curious if you could call and get an override. The pair I noticed (white suede bucks) were in a very limited set of remaining sizes, so I thought that might be the determining factor in them showing up in the sale section.

No, they are less sleek than Barrie. If you've only had shoes on Barrie then it may be worth trying the boot just to see. They do see, "less bulbous" as boots.

1) Barrie boots tend to be a bit narrower than Barrie shoes
2) Grant, Aberdeen and Plaza lasted boots all are little more sleek than Barrie boots
2) Plaza and Aberdeen are the only ones that really come close on an absolute level
