I sure would.  I would be thrilled to have shoes with that beautiful color and, if I did not feel on my foot whatever caused that bump, I would forget the bump was there after 10 minutes.  Even if I did not forget, I would not care.

My question is about a pair of RW Beckmans I just purchased. I know this isn't the RW thread & I apologize but you all are such a helpful active group and I have no idea where else to turn.

Two days ago I got a pair of RW 9016 Beckmans - I love them! Measure an 11 on the Brannock device purchased these in 10.5. Slightly loose on my smaller foot but comfy right out of the box. Well I've worn them to my office job yesterday and today, got home tonight to find this stain! I'm freaking out - it won't go away. I treated them with Venetian Shoe Cream when I got them.

Ideas on what's causing this? Is it the fit? The shoe cream not doing it's job? Anythin I can do about it? Any and all replies greatly appreciated. Again, I know this is an outside request but I would so much appreciate any guidance.

Thanks,
Tom

IMHO, it is probably just water stain.

Put the boots in a dry place, don't let the sun hit them, the stain should go away in a day or two.

As far as we know, think he's a slight mix but not sure as we adopted him. Definitely behaves like one

I hear ya (and appreciate the feedback). just seems crazy that we (alden pursuers) will sometimes keep products that have defects that other companies would not release as first quality. this particular pair, although marked down, were described as being sold as firsts.. no markings on them to confirm (from alden?) stating seconds quality, but if I documented the other 'issues' they have, I'd imagine most companies in the +$700 range would mark as seconds..

all water under the bridge now, and I appreciate everyones feedback.. NOW, if I can just get TSM to call me back on my return of the ravello NSTs they received 2 days ago per USPS... I just want my $450 back so I can buy something else!

* if someone is Alden TTS 11.5D, I just sent back some ravello NST shoes. had some tiger striping on one side that I didn't care for, but more importantly, they were sold as being on the Barrie last, making think 11.5 would work. turns out they are on Aberdeen (11.5D), and I'd have needed 12D, so these went back..

if they might fit you, call George or Joe asap at the Norwalk store 203-853-6543 and see if you can grab them. Tell them kwhitelaw from virginia sent them back on tuesday and they're floating around somewhere in the warehouse

happy hunting everyone! enjoy your weekend!

I used to be on the fence with regard to commando soles.  I wish I had tried them sooner.

+1 on commando. I actually purchased this shoe and returned it. It is a beautiful shoe and extremely comfortable. It was just a little darker than I hoped. Additionally, I have had mixed results with the courtesy level of some Alden retailers but the folks at Unoinmade were hands-down the best of all that I've dealt with. FWIW.

A dark brown or burgundy commando sole would look awesome...

you can have any color you like, as long as it's black!

Very nice, brown CXL is probably my favorite for all-purpose wear.

How are the oiled flex soles on those?
