Nope...at least it's not listed in the sizing drop-down box. I actually ordered a B width through LS. Leffot says you can request a non-stock size but you have to pay in full upfront, which I actually wouldn't mind doing usually, but last time I asked them they denied my request. I would try it again, but I don't want to lose the non-refundable deposit on my order with LS by jumping on this one instead. I think about 2 months ago LS told me that the wait was still about 6 months, so it should only be 4 more months now. There were a couple other shoes on Leffot's pre-order I was looking at though, I might ask if I can get my size in the Natty CXL LWB pre-order. In any case, the only place now that I would consider pre-ordering with is Leffot, since they only offer them after the orders are confirmed. I'll just have to hope they let me order a non-stock size.

Was told today by a stockist that my size in 975s would take 10 weeks to fill.

Guess even color 8 is getting hard to come by...

Have you brushed them?
I've started to brush mine after 2 years of wear. It changed the nap of the suede slightly. Gives them character.

I plan to spend frivolously on shell through next summer. I will start looking for a car next fall.

I'm a normal 11D and bought 11D in an INDY #8 Trubalance and Cigar LHS 11D and both fit me well. So to answer your question, I guess I don't size down for the Teubalance. Funny thing , I tried on an NST 11D in Aberdeen and thought it would be way to narrow in the toe but that felt very good as well.

Yeah I brushed them trying to get them the same shade. Perhaps it's time to brush them some more. Going to try some suede protector in the area and see if I can darken them a smidge

That's scary, Sazon. Would it be worth it to simply call other stockists--especially given that you're asking for a stock model in a non-outlier size?

What do you guys think about this commando sole ( especially the heel ) on this shoe? I'm not sure i can get past that big rubber heel from the side but like the commando sole for winters in Ohio

You know that's just the standard Alden commando sole. I like the look.

Hi gang,

Long, long time lurker of this thread -- it's wonderful -- with a question I'm desperately hoping you might help me answer. It's a leather staining question. My question is about a pair of RW Beckmans I just purchased. I know this isn't the RW thread & I apologize but you all are such a helpful active group and I have no idea where else to turn.

Two days ago I got a pair of RW 9016 Beckmans - I love them! Measure an 11 on the Brannock device purchased these in 10.5. Slightly loose on my smaller foot but comfy right out of the box. Well I've worn them to my office job yesterday and today, got home tonight to find this stain! I'm freaking out - it won't go away. I treated them with Venetian Shoe Cream when I got them.

Ideas on what's causing this? Is it the fit? The shoe cream not doing it's job? Anythin I can do about it? Any and all replies greatly appreciated. Again, I know this is an outside request but I would so much appreciate any guidance.

Thanks,
Tom

+1.  I nearly pulled the trigger on that same shoe (assuming that's the walnut from Unionmade).  LWB is a relatively casual shoe.  You can dress it up, but the commando sole isn't going to keep it from achieving some higher level of formality that it was never cut out for anyway.  Hope that makes some sense.

Alden's commando soles are actually very low profile...  I promise you, most don't really notice them unless you fold your legs while sitting down...

I used to be on the fence with regard to commando soles.  I wish I had tried them sooner.

It's hard to tell from looking at this picture.  I see the spot but it doesn't look that bad.  Have you tried some polish or wax?  It's a casual boot, so it will get some wear to its look.  I would clean, polish, brush, and buff.  Don't stress over it; enjoy them.  All the best my friend...
