Also, I want the Jcrew PCT boot. Does it fit slightly tighter than Barrie LWB, but not enough to warrant sizing up?

I have a 2003 Honda Civic For Sale, Low Miles, Very Clean, PM me if you're interested.

Thanks

I have been very happy with these (I like the 55" for Indies): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008ML4DXE/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Very commendable, Doc.  The world would be a much better place if more people were like you and could own up to their actions, rather than try to deflect blame on others and rationalize why they are really the victim in every situation.

For some reason I always thought that you were younger than someone who could be married for 15 years, but I guess it makes sense since you are a Doctor and by the time one finishes medical school they are no longer a spring chicken.

Thanks for your support, Bakes. I've felt a lot better since the fessing up.

I'm in my late 30s. We married as young 'uns recently out of undergrad. Time flies!

True indeed. The disclosure brought us closer together. I also decided that my son deserved a more mature model for how a man handles himself.

Considering suicide would mean having to worry about the collection ending up in some random Goodwill. I guess I could bequeath the collection to some of our fellow 8.5D Barrie / 9D TTS addicts.

Told her about the mahogany roadmaster and accompanying quilted vest too. Now she's on the hunt for a nice jacket herself :)

Thanks, zippyh! Time to save the money for the EGs. Maybe I should liquidate my AEs to pay for one double monk.

I think sometimes our perceived gluttonous behavior gets the best of our anxieties. Happy it worked out well.

FYI I wear 6.5D Barrie and 6.5/7E in all of EG's lasts. I would recommend the Dover for the first dive though over the Westminster. I endorse EGs during the week and Aldens the other times happy.gif

If I could own but one Alden shell PTB, it would be the BB version in color 8 (and I do own it). However, I also own other Alden shell PTBs, including the 990.

That's a great question. Burgundy is one color I have not purchased yet. I have the dark brown, light brown and black, and I would say that none of them are a perfect match for the shell laces. Dark brown would be the closest, though. See them draped over the shoe (in natural light) to compare against the original laces. You will also notice that they're not as heavily waxed as the Alden laces.

I actually purchased these laces for my Chromexcel Indies, which they look beautiful on. The dark brown is more of a true match for the shoe, whereas the light brown gives it a nice contrast that matches with the color of the welt. I thought the black would look pretty cool, but it's just a tad too severe in my opinion. One of the main advantages of these laces is how easily I can order them from Amazon smile.gif

^^ That dark brown does not look too bad. A note on the 'waxiness' of Alden's laces...the laces on my shell captoe boots are far waxier than the laces on my shell Indys. My shell Indy laces don't feel waxy at all. Maybe because of the more casual nature of the Indys??

Pick one of these Leffot models for pants, denims and chinos .

1-Color 8 PTB w/crepe sole (yeah crepe)
2-Black shell LWB w/flat welt.

Thanks.
