So I have a tip for everyone with flat waxed laces (excuse me if you have seen this before). I have been cleaning/polishing my shell over the last week and was wondering how I could get the laces somewhat flat again after wearing. Solution: I pinched the laces between two quarters and pulled the lace thru. Straightened them right out.

Now I have a question for all of you.
Could someone explain the why and how to use a deer bone on shell?

NRO finally wised up... their current 25% offer isn't good on Alden (or Omersa or Church's.)

Now if only they'd send me the Indy boots I ordered a month ago...

Shameless Plug...
Just received a pair of Ralph Lauren Marlow shortwings from Namor - I've casually checked out these amazing shoes (made in England by C&J) at the Ralph Lauren store in SF (which I did unassisted because the sales people were obviously too busy to help me - but I digress...). Never quite appreciated the quality until now. And the price and service you'll get from Roman, well let's just say that both are much, much better than you'll get at RL SF.

I had the same experience at RL on Michigan Avenue. I dunno...you'd think they'd at least act interested when someone comes in asking about a pair of shoes that's like $950 OTD.

I did a little searching with regard to the Truflare last. There is very little information on sizing except this from Namor

http://www.styleforum.net/t/85589/the-official-alden-thread/11985#post_4291766

And this defunct thread

http://www.styleforum.net/t/207433/alden-truflare-last-size

I understand the Truflare is discontinued, but I think they may still have some stock at the factory. Anyone have any experience with this last?

**Edit**

The #67 is still in production. All other models are discontinued.

Check the image from their email...doesn't apply to Alden.

Hopefully it makes it less painful that they don't carry your size :)

Actually I ordered a pair of unlined chukka in Leydon from them. Got it shipped to mailbox in around 6 days. Probably lucked out and they actually had it in stock.
