Not sure about timing patterns, but the most recent major restock was the tassel in color 8.

Thanks again. That is actually a really great tip … it's like pulling teeth trying to get my local SA's to hunt down an item from another store. They do it, but they make it very apparent that I'm putting them out frown.gif

When my gf and I have dinner party's or attend other gentile social gatherings we make a point not to discuss politics or religion. She does however have a predilection for upbraiding me in public about how much golf I play, and she verbally horse whips me about my obsession with shoes made from a certain quadrupeds rearend. Invariably people, especially women, look down at my shoes and want to know who makes them and where they can get them. I dare say that I've made a couple conversions to our shared appreciation for Alden footwear because of her teasing.

I also find myself in this situation in social gatherings. I tend to over enunciate the word "Alden" so people don't think I'm wearing Aldo !

blue collar, simply unreal is the amazing commonality of experience. I'll try saying ALL-den when asked about the brand, because when I say Alden the response I get is a quizical "huh"?

Here are pics of the recent 405s I got from the Shoemart, with the slightly odd leather.  Pics don't really show it I don't think, but here they are anyway. I had just tried on some 405s in a couple of stores in recent months, so had in mind the stiff slightly textured cowhide, and these are softer and (again) look sort of like fake leather in person.  Anyway...
