#8 Wingtip on Commando and Leffot Tanker on Commando with antique edge...

Edit...I read that as "indentify the #8 boots..." LOL. I agree with aldenwear below.

(1) black cordovan NST boot, (2) black cordovan captoe boot, (3) color 8 cordovan wingtip boot, (4) color 8 cordovan NST boot, (5) cigar cordovan captoe boot, (6) leffot navy cxl wingtip boot, (7) color 8 cordovan chukkas and (8) snuff suede chukkas (very hard to see).

For the (unannounced) bonus, I will try lasts:  (1) barrie (2) grant (3) plaza (I think I will regret that choice) (4) barrie (5) grant (6) barrie (7) barrie and (8) leyden

Everything correct except for the plaza guess - it is barrie (looks like plaza from that angle)

I have a plaza captoe boot on order from J Gilbert. I'm not sure I will keep it when it arrives in early next year as it may be redundant, but I feel like I have to give a plaza boot a shot (my only plaza is the Brooks Brothers balmoral wingtip)

I knew I would regret that plaza last selection.  The left boot (looking at it) does look plaza, but the right boot has the full, round toe of barrie, and I suspected that the angle might be responsible the plaza-like appearance of the left.  As my equivocation in my response showed, I should have gone with what my head was telling me.

I have the plaza last captoe you have on order.  The plaza last seems to elicit strong opinions -- either people think it looks elegant or they don't.  I personally like the look of the last, but what surprised me upon wearing is that I find the last very comfortable and it fits me very well - probably fits my foot the best of any of Alden's lasts.  I also think it is more formal looking than barrie-lasted boots.

In any event, you know this given your wingtips -- a great, great looking shoe, by the way.  I hope you enjoy the plaza captoes when they arrive.  Please donate my winnings from today's competition to the Alden's Boy's Club of the World, which finds Aldens for deserving boys of all ages worldwide.

They look good from here. Use them like boots, condition them, allow them to mold to your foot and they'll treat you like a good friend

Have any more pics of them, Alcibiades? I am thinking about this model.

I'll post some later this weekend

On another note, I was at the Quoddy show today at Leffot and saw a dude in a well work pair of the CXL plain toe boots with the brass eyelets. I now know it was a terrible mistake selling my pair. They looked awesome...

This may have been covered several times, so apologies in advance, but is there still a shortage of cigar shell? What about ravello or whisky? I was just on TheShoeMart.com and didn't see any colors other than black and 8. I would really like to get a pair of Aldens, likely in cigar shell, before my wedding in May 2014. Thanks!

Alden has a shortage of shell. You may be better off going with C&J or RL C&J depending on what sort of style you're looking for. I wore the Marlow wingtip (dark brown cordo) for my wedding this last September and loved them (and so did the lucky bride).
