Great to hear about the ravello and condition. I couldn't resist and doubled down on the NSTs, one cigar and one ravello. Definitely redundant, but at that price you're getting ripped off if you don't buy them.

BTW, there is a nice, lightly used pair of the 974 on ebay I am considering for $350.  There seems to be some unsightly creasing on the ones up for auction.  I am assuming it was from an improper fit.  If the fit is proper for me, might I be able to work the creases out with a nice break-in period?  Or are these creases there for the duration?  Thoughts anyone??

I know, I should jump on the NST boots, but please humor me.  Thanks in advance...

This is a classic model and, IMHO, very versatile. I wear it often. The ebay sale model looks fine; I would go for it. Good luck!

If you are a Barrie size 10, then tremont size 10 will be too tight. I'm a Barrie size 10 and wear tremont 10.5 tts.

I wear Barrie and Tremont each 1/2 size down. But the Tremont can be a tweener.

have you seen any of the recent ravello releases from other retailers in the last couple weeks? if so, any comparison, shade wise?

I guess it's a matter of timing and luck. I called around 5:30 est and asked for Ed or Joe and was told that they were both unavailable. Left my sizes and a call back number. Joe called back in less than 5 minutes and said they only had one shoe in my size. As luck would have it it was a LWB in whiskey. Told him I'd take it before he's finished his sentence. Given that I'm a size 10 I felt very fortunate. We'll see what happens when they arrive.

Wow good score, I honestly don't understand TSM I called early and first thing I asked was about LWB's in any rare color and was told none were available, size 10 also.

now I'm kicking myself for not asking for whiskey LWB while I was on the phone with them

That is interesting. Joe told me I got the last pair of 10s and went out of his way to check if anything else was lurking. I probably would've bought them even though I've had a pair before and never wore them because I found them too light. Whiskey always calls to me. Glad you scored them!

I agree, Seven. For me, it is the fact that the Tremont is lower profile. The Tremont is a nice looking last, howerver. I am selling my whiskey short wings on the bay. I really wish I could have worn these.
