I am an 8D in the Barrie and the 5 last. I measure just short of 8.5 on the Brannock.

Mind blowing. No exactly a rare shoe, but I think the whiskey LHS is quite special.

Perhaps the finest whiskey model.

This may be blasphemy, but I prefer the NST pattern with more rounded / pointed toes, like Barrie and Aberdeen, as opposed to the Plaza, where the main moc toe looks too square to me. I think The Shoe Mart Aberdeen NST boots look a lot better than the Plaza version, and I prefer the Barrie Tankers over the Plaza (and Trubalance) versions. However, people love the Plaza, so carry on

Yeah, it's all a personal thing. I own, or have owned, nst's, shoes and/or boots, in plaza, aberdeen, and barrie. I actually have strong preferences for shoes and boots, as follows:

NST boots: plaza
NST shoes: Aberdeen

Very nice whiskey LHSs. The vamp on LHSs showcases the color particularly well.

between the two, commando would be my preference. looks better imo and is more suitable for unfortunate weather.

If the cigar indys at fransboone were on any sole other than crepe, I would have already grabbed the 11.5 that they have

Father picked out the rug on our trip to Turkey together. Sitting on a big, fat leather couch with a big, fat stogie.

Stick with the same width? I am a EE in the 5 last and hoping I could fit into D in barrie last. Is that a bit of a stretch?

I think you will need E width in Barrie.

Maiden voyage of the J Crew PCT boots I ordered back in August. These just randomly showed up yesterday, I checked the tracking online and it looks like they are still sitting in Greensboro, NC. They must have been shipped back to J Crew and then re-sent to me, because the label had my new address printed on it.

Hope the shoes work out!

Share some pictures when you do! I live in Richmond and I'm intentionally NOT going into the store because I REALLY can't afford them right now, but I'm pretty sure if I see them in person I won't be able to help myself!

Yup, I'm really happy with these. Still need to get broken in, but they feel really good straight out of the box. Barrie boots seem to fit me so much better than Barrie shoes. My unlined PTBs in 12C feel slightly sloppier in the heel than these do, and these are a 12D. And I know unlined shoes usually fit snugger than the lined version in the same size. It's probably because I usually lace my boots really tightly up on my ankle.

And I could tell these were brand new, never tried on. They weren't even laced up yet. I know some people have gotten Aldens from J Crew that have shown some wear.

That's awesome! Congrats. My color 8 chukkas that came in this week had never been tried on either. They came with shoe bags but in a generic J. Crew box as opposed to the green alden box.
