I'm happy to ENABLE any Alden purchase! Pretty sweet to save $100 on 'em. Enjoy!

ooh, you're form the Burgh?  I'm from Charm City (Baltimore)... we may be Alden buds, but I'm not gonna offer consolation as your Steelers dip deeper into the NFL abyss.  While I still have nightmare's over the '79 World Series, I wouldn't mind seeing the Bucko's make it their this year.  Can't stand the Cards, Dodgers, or Bravos...

Wonderful acquisition my friend, a classic indeed!  Maybe one of the most underrated models on this thread.

Many thanks!  Love this thread.  Just ordered a pair of snuff suede Indy boots on crepe sole.  Would not have paid full price for this pair ordinarily, but with the discount I am really happy with these as a pair of everyday casual beaters.  Of course, my wife just noticed one of my new pairs of shell boots and this additional pair may draw some concerns, but I am ready to argue that I am "saving money" because "they were on sale".  :embar:

Look on thr bright side...Jcrew just saved you $400-$500...no special code needed just a pair Size 7 feet.

Hold on here...how can anyone hate the Cardinals? They are the most salt of the earth team in baseball.

I wouldn't put it passed jcrew to look into a special order of a sz 7 for you, should you call them. the couple times I've called them, for various reasons, they have been beyond accommodating

Good luck and enjoy your visit.

I lived here for 5 years until recently, remember?  I still own my place out here, and my girl still lives here.  Reasonable cost of living I agree with, but coming from New York, Pittsburgh is no comparison.  The roads here are always under construction. Rte 28, 65.  It never ends.  Makes it impossible to get around.  CMU maybe is a top notch school, the others aren't bad, but I wouldn't call them top-notch.  Pitt is good for healthcare.

There are some good things about the area, but the locals always false promote it.  Most of them have hardly lived anywhere else, so can't even really evaluate it fairly.  Yes, if you measure a city only by Super Bowl trophies, then PGH is number one.  However, that is not part of my criteria for evaluating a city.

I'm not going to go on a long rant denouncing Pittsburgh, but if anyone is seriously considering moving there, they should check out leavingpittsburgh.com for some unbiased testimonials.  Pittsburgh is perfect for some people, and it has a lot of good unique qualities, but it also has a lot of drawbacks that many people stubbornly refuse to acknowledge.  I appreciate your well wishes and good intentions, but I can't stand when people plug it as the best city to live in, because it is without a doubt misleading.

No hard feelings, just speaking my mind.
