I also find them tight in same Barrie size.

Both 10d, the Ravello looks and feels like a bigger shoe.

isnt it bizarre? i had this notion that because they were unlined they would be more forgiving but ive experienced the opposite. its almost like they are made on different lasts

GOD forbid the dreaded shoe freeze...  ugh!!  crazy.gif   Pre-orders don't actually exist until they arrive.  And if you haven't paid full price, you haven't actually spent the money yet.  Thus, you do have the funds to buy the new saddles my friend.  (I sense weakness in this one...  Has my jedi mind trick worked yet?) puzzled.gif

Also with preorders, once they actually arrive you can convince yourself that you're just paying $600 for a pair of Leffot NST #8 boots, not $720 since the preorder deposit is long since forgotten.

A Dover is going to fit slightly tighter around the middle and instep. Same would go for a chukka or nassau due to the seam on the side.

Lace a little looser until they are broken in.

Thanks. I'm usually casual in the office, so a lighter colored blucher is perfect.

Just asking because I got a pair of unlined PTB and they feel snugger almost like needing to size up in width.

Thanks,

They fit a tad bit snugger than my other Barrie shoes, but not enough to move up a size or width. They are not as snug as my unlined PTBs.

Pardon if it has already been mentioned (I must have missed it then) but it looks like Leffot now is taking pre-orders for Cooney boots, natural cxl Indys on commando, and brown cxl PT boots on commando. Also a blue suede model I didn't look at closely. Just ordered the PT. I think this must have been built out quite recently but perhaps I'm wrong.

I am also looking at one of the leffot pre orders. I must apologize, for I know I've read the answer on here nearly a dozen times, but Leffots pre order turnaround is pretty reasonable, yes? I desperately need an (almost) all weather boot, but am hesitant if the wait will be many months. Has anyone spoken to Leffot with an expected time table?

I believe he states early 2014 for this round. Usually 4-6 months. Which in Alden world is pretty short...

Interesting makeup, that tobacco chamois LWB. Enjoy!

Does anyone have both the Woodlore Ultra and the Alden shoe trees?

I got the Ultras but it looks like the tree is too bulky for the toebox. My LS Plaza captoe's vamp is flat compare to the bulky triangular shape of the trees. Got a feelign this would stretch the leather the wrong way. Not sure if I want to get the Alden ones if they're exactly the same.

As seen here

Obliged. Pulled the trigger. Didn't want to wait & F up like I did with the Innsbruck Indy, leffot naval 8, etc... This whole Alden thing really is a slippery slope. 3rd pair since May, no shell though. First pre order. Hoping this doesn't turn me off to preorders in the future...
