There's been some chat here lately re suede belts, another source to consider is http://www.wkleinberg.com/servlet/the-53/suede%2C-calf%2C-belt/Detail.

Nice. I have the boot on the left and can replace the boot on the right with a black tanker. I like this combo because I have a relatively sleek double leather sole black boot along with a more rugged commando soled black boot.

I agree with this route. Although I went with the #8 grant captoe and the #8 tanker. LOL

These look great! I love the commando sole to complete the style. Will be a great "work horse" boot

that is exactly the plan, Ryden. I have decided to use these as my daily go tos instead of buying an additional CXL pair. Saved myself some money for another shell something...

BTW, what belt are you wearing? It appears to be a good match to your Whiskey.

It is a BNR Bridle, nothing special

Tifosi, I love your logic and need to adopt it...  I'm saving $ by purchasing Shell cordovan boots by consequently not having to buy Chrmxl boots.  Thus I can buy another shell offering. You da man my friend! :slayer:

Thanks, gents!

@sazon, they have a few nicks and scratches and look a little more creased in person, but it is true that they haven't broken in as much as my #4 wingtips. Guess I'll just have to wear them more!

:D Immediately reminded me of this Amazon review. Tifosi, congrats with the purchase!

I have a seemingly noobish question. If we take a last that is rather universally acclaimed as a 'TTS - 0.5' (TruB, Modified - not saying Barrie since there are rare cases of guys going TTS in it) - why wouldn't the maker shift the whole scale up half a size and make things easier for everyone? Does a last have any formal parameters implying that a particular size of this last should be marked as such-and-such a size (e.g. a 9.5)? Sorry if I'm being too naive here :satisfied:

:rotflmao::rotflmao: That's an awesome review!  Can't wait to save more money!

I've thought the same thing before about sizing.  I suppose by shifting the sizing scale half a size up to meet the brannock sizing, length may work but the width may pose a problem... not really sure???
