Nice. In spite of all special make-ups and in spite of all exotic colors, this is still one of Alden's very best models. If I had to get rid of all my Aldens (not going to happen), this would be one of the very last models to go.

+1

The cadet, being a perforated cap toe really goes with suits and, perhaps, business casual.  The PTB can go from sport coats to jeans.

Max is a beautiful pooch and really makes both pictures.  Since you fell down on the job this morning, take that old boy for an extra long walk this evening.  He has a gorgeous mug, and deserves it!

To me, the Cadet is sort of like a hybrid between the 9016 or the 9901, but shares the strengths of neither.  Not very useful, IMO.

Bootspell, I find the EG Galway to be the best English boot out there. The contrast of calf and grain leather looks amazing.

Yeah, the Cadet is not a winner.

I would think that a cigar (or even ravello) PTB and the 9015 (Color 8 Perf Toe Bal) would be better staples than the 9901 or 9016.

That is, if you are trying to build a well-rounded and useful shoe wardrobe, and not just buy as many shoes with the Alden logo on the heel pad as you possibly can.

Hey all, My next shoe is going to be the shell NST on Aberdeen. How would I size it? I am 8D Barrie and 8.5D Grant. My brannock is just shy of 8.5.

Thanks in advance!

No idea but I am curious for the same answer since we are both the same size.

I can say that the tanker NST in 8D Barrie that I got last night fits like a glove! If you are in the area sometime let me know and I'll let you try it on.

You can't drop a bomb like that and not have pics!!!! Haha. I appreciate the offer. If I get something on the Aberdeen soon I extend the same offer to you.

You should get 8.5D. Aberdeen fits a bit snugger than the Grant overall, so it should fit you like a glove.

The Aberdeen is my best fitting last, which I think is very rare (I need the volume in the heel, and width of the toe box is perfect in E for me). Grant is a bit bigger, which is good for boots but becoming problematic for my grant loafers...

Haha well the moment he hears or sees me get shoes he goes crazy, still working a bit on his separation anxiety but he's getting better. He actually loves using shell shoes as pillows as he will always lay on them. Suede and calf he just ignores

#4 WT Boot for me today.

I seem to always wear the same socks with these boots. These boots consistently get complimented when I wear them, as well as few snide comments from the black square toe slip-on crowd.

My goodness sazon. I thought Halle Berry was the closest thing to perfection...........then I saw these boots.
