I would have a whiskey and ravello shell, together,no problem. I would wear them equally.

There isn't much 'practical' about our shoe addictions! I would throw that out the window...haha

Keep hunting for the ravello lwb. Buy them when you find them, you will get tons of use out of them.
You may want to keep the tobacco waxed lwb for rainy days.

Wearing my Ravello NSTs today. Been a little while since I last sported them. They have been one of my projects to get the creases down and shine up.

All: thanks for the responses. I'm mostly trying to talk myself out of a pair of Ravello LWBs and into another pair of shoes.

I'd thought about selling the LWBs I've got, but I know I'll get hosed on transaction costs and depreciation. Further, while I'd love to have the full shell LWB rainbow, I would probably prefer waiting for the chimerical Ravello boot.

Also, here are the current LWBs. I do like them.

Thank you. Grant last. 10.5 true to size for me.

When the J. Crew x Alden Ravello LWB came out this past January (see mine below, that I just happened to be wearing today) folks were debating whether it was overkill to have both the J. Crew version and the standard version. I am obsessed enough with Ravello shell that I would keep both if I had the chance.

I wish I could go out and buy everything I see in uncle mac's pictures, now. Sadly that may never be the case.

I know some people have been interested in captoe boots recently - Alden NYC recently received run of the color 8 and black captoe boots (grant, all eyelets, double leather sole)

Ravello...

Comparison pic, (top right) Waxed tobacco and (bottom right)

ravello

They are different enough; one is awesome and the other solid.  I wear my tobacco when I think it may rain and ravello in nice weather.  Water spots do show up very easily on ravello and whiskey.

Your ravello LWBs and these ct boots are splendid as usual.  I am glad to see that you wear all parts of your great collection often my friend!

A little RED (color 8), WHITE, and BLUE to support he good guys in tonight's World Cup qualifying.  I hate the Mexican team! (not Mexicans, just their national soccer team)

I'm afraid this looks a little like the wicked witch and her ruby slippers.  Oh well...

Dont waste your time on the 8D ;)

I was second on the list but they only got one pair. I am currently waiting to hear if that person is going to take them or not...
