Not me. I find the Aberdeen is TTS.

I wear a 11.5 B/D in a Barrie and a 12 C/E in the Aberdeen last for me. YFMV obviously

Just on a whim I called to NRO to see if I could catch lightning in a bottle for anything ravello or whiskey.

Spoke to a lovely SA.
Customer service - 10
Lightning in a bottle - 0

Gentlemen - two beautiful pairs of shoes. Those eyelets give the suede PTB a unique look, and, well, I find myself wanting a color 8 chukka more and more every day.

Felt like buzzing around town with a cigar today. A LWB cigar.

Almost wore those today, but had to wear a suit.  A very comfortable option and a fine summer look.  I need to enjoy mine more often.

Does the full lace-up get a bit fatiguing on the shins after several hours? Comparisons to a cordovan chukka or an Indy would be helpful, since that's all I have experience with in terms of Aldens. (FYI: contemplating a cap toe purchase, to be specific).

I'm also interested in hearing if you think having a chukka and a cap toe boot in the same color cordovan has felt a bit redundant/too similar, and perhaps would avoid it if you could do it all over again.

P.S. I recognize these would be very personal/idiosyncratic experiences, but I'm interested nonetheless. Thanks!

Anyone? : )

I only own two dress boots (shell) and have not worn them to work much.  I don't think the speedhooks or full-eyelet makes a difference.  You will have the same pressure on the shins with both.  If you are up and about all day, it does get a little exhausting on the shins.  But if you are sitting down at your desk most of the day, it shouldn't be bad at all.

As far as redundancy, you're probably asking the wrong crowd, especially when it comes to color 8 or "KIng," "royalty," etc...  However, I would venture to guess that most here think there is a significant enough difference between the chukka and a cap toe boot.  (I do not own a chukka.)

I suppose you should acquire what feels best to you and your wardrobe.  Good luck my friend...

I agree with everything RTP wrote with the exception of the fatiguing part - I often wear boots at work (in an office) and I haven't found them to be any less comfortable than a shoe. The only time I really notice I'm wearing boots instead of shoes is when I'm walking down stairs.
