Does anyone else find that the plaza last just doesn't work for their feet. I tried on several different sizes of plaza lasted shoes, and none of them felt right to me. Kinda sucks because its a gorgeous last, but its like the shape of my foot simply won't accommodate it.
Thanks, gents!
I've worn these so many times that the $300 spent on them has been well worth it.
In addition to a pair of Ravello, I will be on the look out for an irregular pair of snuff Chukkas.

Wearing this with a simple outfit (RRL denim, lacoste black polo). Soon enough, the white pants will be broken out with these.
Dude, you might have the best alden collection on here. great blog too.
edit: uncle notwithstanding...
It seems pretty well documented that shell whiskey ages darker than the original color. Can anyone say how ravello ages? I've heard that it gets somewhat lighter, but I don't think I've ever seen a side by side comparison of new vs. aged ravello.
ive been enjoying your fits, wj4. your swag is hitting its all time mark
I've always found that the unlined, suede, flexwelt chukkas have been a good travel shoe. They are lightweight, pack small and look good (and are even versatile). I'll be in Barcelona next week and wonder if the 1494/suede chukka a good choice for long days on your feet? Thoughts?
On my shoes? How so? I don't get hung up on the creases, nicks, etc. They are, after all, shoes being worn on the mean streets of Baltimore!
Thanks, man. A lot of the credit goes out to my coworker who takes the pictures, both candid and posed. Minor credit goes to iPhone and Instagram editing, haha.
